Seems you found some idiot willing to get their butt kicked by you in frigate duels.
...oh right, that was me.
Had loads of fun, despite getting two of my frigates turned into expanding clouds of space dust. Much more useful trying out new fits and tactics in 1v1 situations too. Looking forward to having the opportunity to even the score, and who knows ... maybe we could even fleet up and go find someone else to kill once in a while.
Hey Nemphtis -- come to Metropolis low-sec and find me. I'm up for frigate duels and I'll give you a run for your money, as long as you don't bring your new corpies to the party. ---------- My typical ship fit:

Quote: I've read this thread, and many others similar to it. And, the PvP folks keep lecturing people about the "risk vs reward" theory, and slam "carebears" for not wanting to come out and fight in their territory for these "rewards".
Being new, I thought there would be some pretty obvious and seriously cool rewards for taking these "risks", but I cannot seem to find anything interesting.
So, if I may ask the more experienced players - what exactly are these "rewards" that are so compelling that one would want to spend hours being target practice for veteran PvPers?
There really aren't any. That's the point. You get better ISK and LP from missions in low-sec. Rat bounties are higher. Less competition for research/manufacturing slots. It's not enough to offset the risk of actually being there or getting to/from though.
There needs to be more targets for low-sec PvPers. To get those targets, there need to be better missions/anomalies/PI/asteroids/whatever in low-sec than can be found in high-sec. That way the carebears would risk their hides to get at those resources, and we would be more than happy to shoot them to prevent resource exploitation. ---------- I am a criminal, doing dirty deeds dirt cheap.
